The lineup spans amplifiers, DACs, streamers, preamps, headphone amps, a CD transport, and power accessories. At Vinyl Sound USA in Buffalo, New York we carry the range and can help you build anything from a desktop setup to a reference listening room. Tell us your goals and we will point you to the right pieces.
Which NuPrime products does Vinyl Sound USA carry?
The NuPrime collection at Vinyl Sound USA includes integrated amplifiers (IA-9XG, IDA-9, MCX-800AD), power amplifiers (STA-9X, AMG STA-SE, Evolution STA-SE, Fusion-2X, Fusion-3X, and the four-channel Fusion-4X, plus MCX-800MZ), DACs (AMG DAC, Evolution DAC-2, Fusion 8D), streamers (Evolution Streamers, Stream 9X), preamplifiers (AMG PRA, AMG One), the AMG HPA headphone amplifier, the CDT-9 CD transport, and Pure AC power products. Tell us your system and we will help you choose.
What is a Class D amplifier, and are they good?
A Class D amplifier uses a highly efficient switching design that runs cool and compact while delivering plenty of power, and modern implementations like NuPrime’s are known for fast, detailed, transparent sound. Some listeners once associated Class D with a clinical character, but today’s designs can be both powerful and refined, which is exactly what NuPrime aims for. Whether it suits you depends on your speakers and taste. At Vinyl Sound USA we can help you hear the difference. Tell us your setup and we will advise.
Which NuPrime integrated amplifier should I choose?
An integrated amplifier combines preamp and power amp in one unit. At Vinyl Sound USA the NuPrime IA-9XG is a compact, powerful option, the IDA-9 adds a built-in DAC for digital sources, and the MCX-800AD is a higher-tier integrated. The right one depends on your speakers, sources, and whether you want a built-in DAC. Share your speakers and we will match the right model.
Which NuPrime power amplifier should I choose?
A power amplifier pairs with a preamp to drive your speakers. At Vinyl Sound USA the NuPrime STA-9X is the accessible stereo amp, the AMG STA-SE and Evolution STA-SE step up in refinement, and the Fusion-2X and Fusion-3X and the MCX-800MZ offer further options for different speaker loads. More power helps with larger rooms and demanding speakers. Tell us your speakers and room and we will recommend the right amp.
Does NuPrime make multichannel amplifiers for home theater?
Yes. At Vinyl Sound USA the NuPrime Fusion-4X is a four-channel power amplifier, and the MCX series supports multichannel and multi-zone setups, so you can drive a home theater or multi-room system from NuPrime’s Class-D power. It is a compact, efficient way to power several channels cleanly. Tell us your speaker layout and processor and we will confirm the right configuration.
What is a preamplifier, and which NuPrime should I choose?
A preamplifier handles input selection and volume and feeds a power amplifier, serving as the control center of a separates system. At Vinyl Sound USA the NuPrime AMG One and AMG PRA are preamplifiers that pair naturally with NuPrime power amps for a matched, fully capable system. Separates let you tune and upgrade each stage. Tell us your power amp and sources and we will confirm the pairing.
What is a DAC, and which NuPrime DAC should I get?
A DAC turns digital audio into an analog signal, and a better one can noticeably improve clarity and detail. At Vinyl Sound USA the NuPrime AMG DAC and Evolution DAC-2 are high-performance stereo DACs with proprietary filtering and low-jitter clocking, and the Fusion 8D is a multi-channel DAC for more complex systems. The right choice depends on your sources and system. Tell us your setup and we will advise.
Does NuPrime make music streamers?
Yes. At Vinyl Sound USA the NuPrime Evolution Streamers and the Stream 9X bring network streaming to your system, feeding a DAC or DAC-equipped component for hi-res playback from services and your library. They are a clean way to add modern streaming to a NuPrime or mixed system. Tell us how you stream and we will recommend the right one.
Does NuPrime make a headphone amplifier and a CD transport?
Yes. At Vinyl Sound USA the NuPrime AMG HPA is a dedicated headphone amplifier for driving headphones with clean power, and the CDT-9 is a CD transport for playing discs into a separate DAC. Both round out a complete NuPrime system for headphone listening and physical media. Tell us your headphones or DAC and we will confirm the fit.
Does NuPrime offer power conditioning?
Yes. At Vinyl Sound USA the NuPrime Pure AC-6A and Pure AC-6E deliver clean, filtered AC power to your components, which on a resolving system can lower noise and tidy your power distribution, with results varying by your mains supply. It is a practical foundation for a NuPrime system. Tell us your components and we will suggest the right option.
